3-23-22   THOUGHTS

John 1:1   In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:4    In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.

The three passage areas below are sufficient for any of us to preach the GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST, to any soul!  They are packed with eternal truths needed  for SALVATION.
The APPEARING idea encompasses the whole of the Bible. God’s GRACE and KINDNESS and LOVE are behind it all!  HE SAVES US BY HIS MERCY!  HE GIVES US HIS SPIRIT!  The SAVED  receive the right to become THE CHILDREN OF GOD!  THE WORD CAME!
Do we see?

Titus 2:11-15   For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,  12  instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, 13  looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, 14  who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. 15  These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one disregard you.
Titus 3:4-7    But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared,  5  He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,  6  whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7  so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
John 1:9-14   There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. 10  He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11  He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. 12  But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, 13  who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.  14
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

My Prayer:
We are awed, O God of all heaven and earth,  as we read the words above.  Your eternal love has been wonderfully demonstrated.  May we see it deeply.  May we preach it as the good news that it is and will always be.  It is all in Jesus,   Amen
